Following the very successful meeting of Karpasia Association representatives with the Bishop of Karpasia on 18th March, it has been agreed that when his Eminence The Archbishop of Cyprus, Archbishop Chrysostomos II visits the UK in May a meeting should again take place with his Eminence and representatives from each of the Karpasia Associations/Villages.
The programme for Archbishop Chrysostomos has now been arranged and a meeting has been scheduled with representatives from all the Karpasia Associations/Villages on:
*Friday 16th May at 6.30pm *
*at the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood, Britannia Road, North Finchley, London
This will be an historic visit by the Archbishop of Cyprus at a crucial time for Cyprus and so it is significant that the representatives from occupied Karpasia take the opportunity to meet with the Archbishop so that the voice of the people of the Karpasia peninsula is heard.
We would like to invite all out members to our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 11th May at 3pm at the Cypriot Community Center.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
- President’s Report – Mary Karaolis
- Treasurer’s Report – Andreas Gavrielides
- Auditor’s Report
- Resolutions to be sent to world leaders.
- A.O.B. – Διαφορα
- Refreshments – souvlakia
Please note that the £5 Membership is due at the meeting from each member. This contributes to the cost of the souvlakia at the two members meeting per year, the cost of the summer outing lunch and also entitles the member to vote.
